Common Keyboard Shortcuts
Below are some of the more common keyboard shortcuts in MoneyWell broken down by function.
Quick ways to edit transactions:
- If the focus is on the transactions list, Return will take you to the Payee entry
- Use Command-1 to switch back to the list in the Cash Flow view
- Command-Return takes you to the Date entry
- Command-Shift-Return takes you to the Amount entry
- Command-Option-Return takes you to the Bucket entry
- Command-[ takes you to the previous transaction in the list
- Command-] takes you to the next transaction in the list
Quick view switching:
- Command-1 switches to the Cash Flow view
- Command-2 switches to the Favorites view
- Command-3 switches to the Scheduled view
- Command-4 switches to the Reconcile view
- Command-5 switches to the Duplicates view
- Command-Option-1 switches to the Cash Flow view and selects the most current transaction
Creating new stuff:
- Command-N creates a new transaction
- Command-Shift-N creates a new bucket
- Command-Control-N creates a new account
- Command-Option-N creates a new document
- Command-Option-Shift-N creates a new document by importing a file you select
