Entering a date in MoneyWell quickly
Unlike many applications that require a rigid date entry, MoneyWell is very flexible and forgiving. You can enter dates just by entering the number of the day of the month or with just the month and day using any separator. It even knows your localized date format and understands if the month or day is first. Here are some examples:
If today's date is July 4, 2009, then entering…
15 will give you the date July 15,
2009
8.23 will give you August 23, 2009
6 11 will give you June 11, 2009
9/1/09 will give you September 1,
2009
If your local format uses a day before month layout, then just reverse the two numbers in the above examples. You can use almost any non-numeric character as a separator.
