Open vs Cleared Transactions

This may not be a problem, there just may be some trick or step I'm overlooking. Here's my scenario.

I spend $56.23 today at PotteryBarn. I come home (or can't wait till I can do it from the store on my iPhone!) and enter it in MoneyWell and put the status as "open". I know I've spent it, but it hasn't cleared my bank yet. A day or two later when it clears my bank and I downloaded cleared transactions it adds another line for "PotteryBarn $56.23" with the status of cleared. So now I appear to have used up $112.46.

My question is, is there a way to "match up" these two transactions? Right now I have to remember to go back and manually delete the "open" one. Should I just not be entering in items until they clear the bank?

Manually entered transactions should be matched up with your imported duplicates. MoneyWell compares the amount and type.

Use the Transactions > Merge and Remove Duplicates command to force MoneyWell to check for duplicates if you have downloaded more than one account at a time.

Thanks! That did it. I knew I was just missing a minor step.
