Saving to disk image
I recently moved my finance documents (taxes, banking, etc) into a encrypted disk image so this information is more secure.
When I opened Moneywell for the first time it had no problem finding and opening the correct file in the disk image. A problem arose when I went to save the file after finishing. Even though you can select save it doesn't actually save. When closing the program it will continually bring up the "information will be lost without save" warning - if you click save Moneywell will see to save but not close. Continuing to try to close will repeatedly bring up the same warning. The only way to close is to select "Don't Save".
This problem is a little strange. If I manually enter new transactions Moneywell has no problem saving. After I import transactions from a .qfx file from my bank a message pops up 'This document "XXX" could not be saved'. From that point on Moneywell will not save.
I understand saving to a disk image is likely not the typical method. Any ideas of what could be causing this problem?

That's interesting. I also keep my document in an encrypted disk image, and I do not have that problem.

Is it possible that you don't have the right permissions on the MoneyWell document? Also check the permissions on the disk image.

I have all the correct permissions on the image and on the files. I am the only account on my computer.
Tonight when I tried importing I did not get an error message about the document not being able to be saved as I received previously. It seemed to save when I pressed open apple + S, but it wasn't saving. When I tried to close Moneywell the save or lose your data warning kept coming up.

Importing doesn’t force a save so you wouldn't see an error until you tried to save.
Please list your exact steps for creating this disk image and I'll reproduce them for testing. Thanks.

Hector,
I think the problem was not enough space in the disk image. When I previously looked at this it was 300kb and I assumed it was enough. I went to increase this to make sure it wasn't the problem and it was 15kb available. After increasing the size the problem went away. I tried several times to recreate it with no problems, so it must have been that simple.
